The Big Green Lass

Well I've made it to New York after a mission of a plane journey and I'm still alive!
The plane to Frankfurt was kinda nice but spending the entire night at the air port waiting sucked!
The plane from Frankfurt to New York was hell! The plane was delayed abit over an hour because two dumbasses decided to take their time boarding the plane. Then the plane was overrun be a crowd of numbnuts who decidedto ignore any suggestion/request/demand of the crew of the plane.
The woman in front of me sat in her chair and immediately slammed her chair back as hard as she could mashing my knees (this occured several times throughout the 8 hour journey)

Anyway We got in to New York over an hour late then had to fight past the same numbnuts because they decided to congregate just outside the plane door so noone could get through.

Eventually got through customs with out to much hastle and caught the train to where I'm staying.

I had several hours to kill because my host's were at work and didnt finish till 6 so I decided it'd be a good time to find me a US simcard after a lot of hastle again it was discovered my phone won't work in the states :( so I had to purchase a new one. This means I have a new phone number again!
Whilst in the states you can call/sms me on +1 646 469 5324
For some reason in the states you have to pay to recieve calls and sms's WTF but it's only 5cent an SMS so I can handle that so feel free to flood me with your joyous messages :)

The next day I went out to visit the grand Statue of Liberty Enlighting the World (her full name. I know new stuff cool huh) boy was I supprised by the security to visit this thing. First of all they nolonger let you climb the statue you can only get to the bottom of it and look up her guts.
However to get on the ferry to the island you need to go throug hmetal detectors and xray your bag and all, the security guards mistook my Ventolin and Seretide inhalers for some kinda of bomb materials but I was able to convince them I was simply a dumb asthmatic tourist and they let me on. Next to climb the pedestool and get to look under her skirt you need to lock you back in a locker the utilises fingerprint recognition as a security code (but it's ok to bring a camera) then go through a bomb detector machine the blows air on you and smells it for bomb materials. Then get your stuff x-rayed and metal detected again then they finally let you in.

Any way I did that and it was um well alrite :) I got some cool photos I'll post when I get round to it (I've still got half of my europe photos to put up for you nice folk) after the I stopped by Ellis Island and had alook at the immigration museum thing pleny of interesting tidbits there.
Then caught the ferry back to Manhattan I then walked up to go have a look at Ground Zero and supprise supprise its a big hole in the gound. Well more of a Bloddy huge hole in thr gound but ehh symantics. By this time I'de up and about for near 11 hours so I decided to call it a day and headded back to the house.

Dinner was at a groovy Thai restaraunt called Sea (They make awesome noodles) Followed with some drinks and dancing back at the house.

Today I headded on down to check out Times Square which was Über cool (imagine 10 blocks of massive screens with adds and stuff) then went for a nice 3 hour stroll through Central Park (man this has got to be the biggest park in a City I've seen!) then headded back to the house watched saw 2 and ate pizza.

Thats all for today

Have fun and keep your receitps

Dat's a lotta cops

Today J and I went up to see the Buda Castle which was nice there are good views from up there and it's all nice. The most not worthy thing was though while we were up there we was over 50 cars and vans full of police drive up with their lights going to the top of the castle.

Now I've got no idea what they were doing but once they go to the top they just spread out in defensive positions and stood there. It's probably related to the current political turmoil but I'll let you know if I see anything cool!

On a less fortunate note the computers at the hostel the provide free internet are some what restricted and I cannot install any image editing software so I cannot upload the photos I've taken as they mostly need a little touching up.

I've realised I've spent way too much money so I Might be coming home early or just having a tight trip through the US ,whichever turns out cheaper (Chris This means I probably won't make it up to see ya I'm sorry dude I'll come over next year or something).

Anyway Jay's having an arvo nap and I'm kinda peckish.

Have fun and don't lick the pavement if someone has just pee'd there.

Buda meets Pest

Firstly apologies if anyone got the last update twice the computer I was updating at was ghey.

Moving right along we,ve moved on to Budapest today a nice and early 6am start which wasnt too hard given we actually took it easy and didn't fit any Mad nights of drinking.

Prague was nice we had an cool walking tour on Saturday with a funky guide consisting of most of the major sites and a few amusing (if not completley true) stories.

The one main thing I learnt in prague is Goulash is definitley one of my favorite meals anywhere! However Czeck dumplings proove to be rubbery and hard to digest.
The place in nice you realy have to look down dark hidden alleys to see any evidence that the city suffered a major flood a measley 4 years back.

We arrive in Budapest today near three o'clock and were promplty greeted with the forewarned offers of taxi's and accomodation which we prolitely refused. We made it to the hostel with little trouble (which included the death of the wheels on my new luggage).

Anyway were staying at the Aboriginal Hotstel and it seem friggin cool! Free internet free laundry (we don't even have to do it our selves) and lockers and what not.

Apparently there are protests and stuff goin on in Budapest so we might get to see some action if so I'll take some photos.

Now I'm back at a computer I can get the photos off my camera in the next few days, I'll upload what I've got since Jay showed up for you to all have a gawk at.

Have fun and watch out for low flying ducks.

Cheap Beer please!

Well We've made it to prague Famouse for well beer lots of it and it's cheap!.

Beer here can be found between AU$1-AU$3 for 500ml most of its closer to the AU$1 though
so there'll probly be more drinking wilst were here despite the liver damage incurred in Munich.

Tourist attactions consist of one of the onyl intact casteles no destroyed in WWII and some bridge called charles bridge and the largest club in europe. We're planning on checking those out tomorrow.

On a side note my phone is out of credit and I can't top it up in Prague so I cant recieve calls or messages. If you need to contact me Email is probably the best option until I get back to the UK.

Have fun and eat a good Goulash
